About Pottery Retreat

Hello there, I am Ray Boswell. I am a potter living and working in Sugar Loaf, NY. My wife, Theresa and I created Bostree, Inc. back in 1983. Back then everything was under one roof — the store, the studio, the kids, Theresa, and me.

Since then one of the kids has gotten a BFA in ceramics and returned to the studio, one is in college and one is getting ready to go. The studio has moved to a 3,600 square foot, 3 story barn located at 54 Wood Road and the store has moved to 1361 Kings Highway, Main Street Sugar Loaf NY. Back when it all started the store only sold Theresa's and my work. Since then Theresa has expanded the selection to include many well-known artists and some new artists, such as the recent RIT BFA Graduate Andrew Boswell.

I have also expanded the studio to include my working studio, a student studio for classes and workshops. Furthermore, the studio is also where the retreats and lectures are created and launched to be presented throughout the Northeast.

This site is in a new form, which we hope will be an improvement over the last version.
